This Sigdal legend tells of Kari Ru, so hard to tire in the dance that no lad could match her. Then Old Erik himself — one of the names for the Evil One — danced with her until she collapsed. Only then did people notice that he wore horseshoes, and the rhyme he chanted about how she would get to dance her fill.
