At the lower cottage of Romundstad a sinful house was kept every weekend with dance, drink and cards far into the nights. One evening the farm wife went out and saw a glowing wheel roll hissing down Stupberget; frightened, she ran back in and found a stranger already seated, playing and winning away everything on the table. The men took fright and rose, but the stranger was gone; under the table lay a great black dog with glowing eyes, and the cottar Ola Legje, who had a leaf from the Black Book, pierced the window lead, read, and drove the beast out so it whined as it went.
