At a country gathering outside Visby the young people danced wildly, and one girl showed off a fine comb in her hair. The Evil One stepped in and chose her, and because she wore the comb he had power over her, so the dance whirled on without end until she fainted. The priest was summoned and forced the Evil One to depart, warning the girls never to dance with a comb in their hair.
