Heading home for Christmas, a shop-hand got a ride through the air – and overtook a murderer bound for his deed.

In Våler they tell of Tølløv Knæsu, who longed to get home for Christmas but was freed late. On the Trondhjem road a stranger offered him a ride. The journey went through the air, and Tølløv noticed the driver had claws. At a farm along the way a brawl could be heard, and at home the stranger refused to come in – he had to go on to aid someone planning to murder their own child.
