After a youth gathering at Kräklingbo a lone lad from Gurpe had to walk home, and the others jokingly wished a troll would keep him company. Soon a ravenous black hound with a fiery-red tongue dogged his heels, but undaunted he told the beast to go to those who had sent it. The hound vanished at once, and the next morning it turned out the same monster had followed every one of the others home.
