In Laughter Mountain the devil dwelt and cooked in the rock's cauldrons, until the church bell's sound drove him out.

In Esbo there was a mountain the people called Laughter Mountain, where the devil is said to have lived. Large cauldron-shaped hollows can still be seen in the rock where he supposedly cooked his food. When the people of Esbo bought a great church bell, its sound carried all the way to the mountain, and the devil could not bear the ringing and moved away from the hill.
