In Strömfors they tell how juror Pippi sought the sorcerer Holmström's help to find a stolen horse. In the dead of night they drove to Pernå church, where Holmström paced three times round the building with his back to the wall until the door sprang open. At the altar he spoke with the Devil, but the juror never got his horse back - and afterwards he warned others against nightly church journeys with sorcerers.
