From Strömfors comes the tale of a Swedish warlord named Luxenborg who made a twenty-five-year contract with the Devil for victory in every battle. When the years ran out he held a feast and posted guards on every road, but the Devil came anyway in a five-horse carriage and called him out. In a private room Luxenborg was forced to write with his own blood while the Devil flayed him and vanished through the roof with his body.
