The dark one dropped gentry here and there across Finland, and at last flung his own coachman down in Korpo.

In a short legend from Sottunga, the devil drove a 'load of gentry' across Finland and threw off a gentleman here and there, so that the manors arose. When he came to Korpo he had no gentleman left, so he flung his coachman from the box. Thus, the legend says, Korpo Manor came to be.
