In Vörå a gentleman promised a shoemaker a cow if he dared sew shoes in the church. The shoemaker sat down at the altar, and then the devils came in with a gentleman whom they flayed, throwing the skin at him. The shoemaker seized it with his pincers and demanded they fetch all the money the gentleman had stolen.
