In Vörå it is told that Lady Anna, on pain of death, sent her husband to fetch the forest's largest bird-cherry tree. A wood-spirit helped him fell it and bore it home, but in the yard a glass carriage and a gentleman with lead shoes already waited. Despite her pleas for a reprieve, Lady Anna and the priest were carried off to a place where sulphur-blue fire burst forth.
