🇺🇸 New Orleans · Ghost walk
New Orleans after dark
Vieux Carré, voodoo and those who cannot rest
A walk of about 90 minutes through New Orleans' oldest quarter. From the cathedral on Jackson Square past pirate bars, Creole palaces and a place where enslaved people were tortured, out to the gate where the voodoo queen Marie Laveau was buried. This is no scare show. It is a city where life and death have always stood closer together than anywhere else in the United States, shaped by epidemics, slavery, floods, Creole Catholicism and African spirituality.
