A man hewed a child from a log - a single sneeze saved the real one.
In Egeland on Nuckö a farmer met a stranger in the forest hewing a child from an aspen block to swap for an unbaptised one. As they crept up to a cradle the child sneezed, and the farmer cried out for the help of Jesus. The dark guest vanished with his aspen block, and the householder gratefully gave away a foal.
